I’m voting Republican, because I wanted Bush to increase our national debt from 4 trillion to 9 trillion in 8 years, where do you think my tax breaks came from.

I’m voting Republican, because I believe that if I keep 500 guns in my house it will prevent terrorist from traveling 5000 miles to come hurt me.

I’m voting Republican, because I believe that invading a sovereign nations who have done nothing wrong is mandatory to stop the spread of terrorism. It makes people around the world love and respect us.

According to Lucille, the waitress serving her table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Gov. Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat’s primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.

I realize it’s not about what I thought. Even though I’m a woman, nothing the McCain camp could ever spin at me could change my mind. I am a life long Democrat. I am not the audience they were trying to appeal to. So I took off my partisan glasses and tried to be objective when reflecting on her speech. I tried this for hours. After much thoughtful analysis I realized, I couldn’t do it. Try as I might, the only thing I could think of was how hate filled her (and every other speaker last night) speech was. I tried again. There was mind numbing calculation in the Republican Convention. That was the only nice thing I could say? I could do better. God she has a big chin. No, I can get this. Here we go again. How many times did she smack her lips, man that’s annoying. Shit, focus. She’s snobby, condescending, bitchy and obviously reading this script poorly. Damn it, I give up.

The only thing I could take away from this speech was how ugly and hateful it was. It was not motivational or informative on policy positions. Maybe I’ve lost all objectivity but she came across rigid, cold, ruthless, mean spirited and uncompassionate to any one who is not a Republican.

After much determination I was able to say one good thing about her speech with a hundred percent honesty. It was inspirational for me. It inspired me to donated to the Obama campaign and vow to work as hard as I can to elect Barack Obama in November 2008.

As I woman, I feel absolutely insulted by John McCain’s pick for his VP and would be willing to go even farther. As a human being with good common sense it goes against any common decency. His rash decision to throw this unqualified individual into the central spot light says a tremendous amount about how McCain views the American public. I for one, am not too blind to see this was a gimmick and a ploy. We would, “fall in love with her story” they all said. What a tabloid story? Give me a break! You can forget the rumors on the Internet and you can point to what you know are facts. She is under investigation for her ethics, “specifically” her “abuse of powers.” Her 17 year old daughter is 5 months pregnant but that is not the story. Are we missing the bigger picture here? It was reported 17 year old Bristol was “given a choice with this baby.” Bristol was given a choice, something women had to fight so hard for. While the irony is if her mother becomes our VP all future generations of women will loose that freedom. She is a staunch republican that believes in all circumstances, Roe vs Wade, should be over turned even in situations of rape and incest. So she was willing to offer that choice to her daughter but thinks the women of the United States don’t deserve that same choice? Sarah Palin, the woman of this nation want the same freedom to choose that you offered your daughter!

The rumors and accusations are enough to turn this election season into another issue of an inquiring magazine. How ever there is one fact in this slew of information I find interesting. Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin was taken out of school for over 5 months because she had mononucleosis. Where was the mother during this time? With her ultra conservative family values, how was she caring for her sick daughter? Because in this same time frame as Bristol was sick with mono, she was having unprotected, out of wedlock, underage sex and getting pregnant. What makes you qualified to run this country, Sarah Palin? Shame on you John McCain, women of America know a real woman when we see one and Sarah Palin is NO Hillary Clinton.

Now this begs the question, “When the roles are reversed does this same objectivity apply?” When Bill “O” goes off on his rants (Malmedy)or Rush Limbaugh spews bias comentary on the airways, (like his “phony soldiers” or “Operation Chaos”), are the conservatives just as objective? When Fox Noise puts another coin in the conservative bucket does their party, “the republican base,” call them on it? The simple answer is, NO! The hits, attacks and pure hatred from the neocon base spew across the airways at a steady unrelenting pace and it’s been happening for so long now we hardly even notice. Much less even try and rebut or critique it. This is the ultimate double standard. As you might have guessed I’m no friend of Fox, Hannity, or Bill Oreilly, but I do see where they have their place in society. This country with it’s diverse heritage, opinions, and views, is a free nation with enough room for all these talking heads to coexist.

Maybe the time has come for a “liberal alternative,” something that can combat the neocon propaganda machine, Fox News. For years now during election time the right hits hard and utilizes it’s control of the corporate media to attack the other side. As Olbermann and Matthews say throwing “red meat” out to excite the conservative base and fire them up. After having a few days to reflect on the coverage by MSNBC maybe it’s a good thing we have a voice now, a few talking heads of our own, who can throw back a little of that “red meat.” For far too long we’ve had “no voice,” or “representatives,” on our side of this debate. Aren’t they saying a few things you’d love to say? Are they not going far enough? If you had a platform to express your frustration over the past 8 years what would say? How would you emphasize your frustration?

So, is MSNBC lost with out a leader? NO! Maybe they won’t carry on in the tradition of Tim Russert but what we will gain in return might be more valuable then we realize at this point. Looking back now, I say hit them harder, hit them low, they deserve it and the American people deserve a voice. We know full and well how dirty they’re going to start playing and I say it’s about time we had something to even out the playing field!

Modern Definition of Martial Law:
Martial law is when military-like actions are taken upon a nations own citizens and constitutional and human rights are violated on a regular basis as part of a standard operating procedure (SOP).

It is when you cannot protest without a “permit” and your freedom of speech is silenced.

It is basically what they call a “police state”. It is when the “police” are trained by and act like federal officials/military police rather than the civilian peace keepers they are supposed to be.

It is when random AND permanent checkpoints are set up by Homeland Security and police officers like they have now all over the country especially along interstate-highway 8 and 10.

Many believe that martial law is ONLY when the actual Army and/or Marines/ National Guard patrol the streets but this is incorrect as these troops are committed in Iraq and Afghanistan and attending to the other 1100 U.S. military bases that are outside of the U.S.

Homeland Security and the local police departments have been trained by federal agents and are federal agents and in these modern times are now enforcing obvious martial law.

The days of the Army rolling down the street in tanks is over as it is unnecessary because the U.S. citizens have been pacified enough and Homeland Security and the Police have been trained and armed enough to where this would surely be over-kill.

Besides there are US National Guard bases in the majority of 30,000+ population towns and the troops are committed overseas.

A basic example of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for martial law would be the internment camps they have set-up in Colorado in preparation for the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

If the country was not under martial law setting up these kind of warehouse-style camps which are being hidden from the media and the citizens would not be permitted by the city, county or state.

There are videos and information available on YouTube and other places on the net about these camps and I also have a video which I will attach to this one.

So this is a basic explanation of Marital Law as it exists in the 21st century.

ANOTHER indication of Martial Law enacted is:
Watch a White House press conference/interview and/or go to your local court house and peak inside a court room and look at the American Flag.

You will notice that the flag will have gold tassel around it’s borders. If you understand this and have any education in these matters you would know in fact that it is a Federal Crime to attach ANYTHING to the American Flag.

The ONLY thing that can be attached to the American Flag by Federal law under penalty of prosecution are GOLD TASSELS and they can ONLY be attached in the case of MARTIAL LAW ordered by the President of the United States of America.

Of course under martial law information, education, news, networks and the internet (as seen nightly on FOX news and CNN) are censored therefor research on this subject is not the easiest although it can be done.

There is no doubt the movement by the people is meant to be a peaceful one and that’s the ideology of the masses. But the way this government has position itself suggests a much more combative rebellion. Rex 84, Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, Presidential Directive 12, the elimination of the Posse Comitatus Act, suspension habeas corpus, FISA, Presidential Directive 51, FEMA camps, The Detention of American Citizens as Enemy Combatants http://www.fas.org/irp/crs/RL31724.pdf, the new Operation Northwoods “Iraq” and so many other policies that have limited our ability to resist what is coming. The pieces are stacked and this house of cards will fall, the manner in which is yet to be determined. The King is in his counting house, counting down, counting down, counting………

To draw a distinction between this administration and the Nazism rule not so long ago, “is” a hard line to connect. Often times it’s what is done in plain sight that often gets over looked. A certain immunity from criticism that takes place when change is implemented gradually over a long period of time. I know you’ve heard the line I use about American airport security. That it’s common place to see military force, strong police presence, Air Marshals and machine guns, and this gives Americans a sense of security. “How safe I feel,” they say, what an Orwellian thought. Oblivious that one day that same might could be turned on us, that we are just being conditioned. Did the Germans feel this same false sense of security? Are we so blind we can’t see it’s happening to us? When I think of the secret service, I see the S.S. Remember the Bush Directive 51? Through the principle of indemnity, Hitler killed 6 million Jews, so much for Homeland Security. I can’t seem to find a distinction. They both thought they were called upon by “GOD” to lead. Have you every wondered where Bush got his idea for his “faith-base initiatives” I believe it to be Hitlers January 30, 1939 speech to the Reichstag. The Fuhrer began, “Amongst the accusations which are directed against Germany in the so-called democracy is the charge that the National Socialist State is hostile to religion.” He continued, “public monies diverted from taxation through the State have been placed at the disposal of both Churches (Protestant and Catholic).” Hitler gave almost 1.8 billion Reichstag’s between 1938-39 to Christian churches.
Hitler also noted, “With a tenth of our budget for religion, we would thus have a Church devoted to the State and of unshakable loyalty. . . . the little sects, which receive only a few hundred thousand marks, are devoted to us body and soul.”

The comparisons are too numerous and with the transitory nature of our memories this time will be forgotten and the outcome that prevails will be depicted and skewed by the victors of this era. Yet call me a “hopeless optimist” {LOL} I still believe there is time to change this most dangerous course of events, but will we take up this endeavor? Recollecting Pastor Martin Niemöller’s famous poem, this is the variation I admire best.
